Love that btw Crystal...you crack me up.
Got up at 5 this morning and enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck watching one of the most beautiful sunrises ever. I've seen many a sunrise in my day, but they are usually the result of still being up, not just getting up. The one on the banner above was taken from the Steamship leaving Nantucket one morning in March.
The first part of the PMC is 45 miles of hills out West. Seeing as how Nantucket is fairly flat, I have to get creative with my hill training so I head to a rather inner island area and work the residential area streets. I caught a couple of odd looks from early risers as I dropped my bike into a low gear and stayed in saddle climbing their roads, repetitively at dawn, but luckily no arrests were made. My favorite thing about my morning rides is seeing Nantucket slowly. It is so damn gorgeous here; I pedaled out along the eastern side of Miacomet Pond and the views truly are breathtaking.
Goal: Rotating 15 mile rides and 30 mile rides, work permitting of course.
