Parch March

Alledgedly our friend Pam was rambling on about doing Parch March, where she doesn't drink for the month. I wasn't sure if Jami was trying to pitch it to me or not, but I am defenitley OUT for that one. I have 2 tastings and multiple restaurants getting ready to open, so the whole dry thing is not so much over here. Plus, I've got to get my tolerance ready for the month of April. But Pam my friend, I wish you all the best in your endeavors...I'm really not the girl to call in case you are having cravings and need someone to talk you out of it. I can see myself now on the phone with you "But the bubbles are perfect and just one little tiny flute never hurt anyone..." Famous last words...trust me.

But, I'm still on the training which is great, and I am officially down 14 lbs as of this morning and my skinny jeans fit (which indicates to me that I am down 4 inches on my waistline). Rah rah me. Today I woke up around 3am, and couldn't go back to sleep until I had a cup of coffee and blacked out on the couch watching CNN. I slept thru Definitions (which is a blessing in disguise) and Carolyns 8:15 spin.

I have started an at home regime of situps and pushups in order to save face at the gym. While I feel like people respect me a little more when I am sweating on a Pre-Core than when I am eating an ice cream cone, I'm still not quite ready to attempt a series of sit-ups in public without Jami making me with all the yelling and eye rolling. I hit the gym at the end of my work day, and do an hour of cardio split between the elliptical and the treadmill, and work on my arms a little. While my guns are def more jacked than 3 weeks ago, I'd like this batwing looking part to vamanos before sleeveless shirt season. So there.

Now, I'm trotting along on the elliptical today, minding my own biz and jamming out to Blind Melon and watching ESPN on the monitor when that crying whiny Tim Tebow comes on. Why is this kid still in our lives, I ask of you? To prevent vomit from spewing from my mouth I had to resist the urge to plug in and hear what they were yammering about with him, but it seemed to be some sort of decathalon looking thing. Good, I hope he loses and it's on national television and I get to see him cry twice in my life. That would be the only way that I could justify the last few years of his presence in the SEC not being God's cruel way of slowly torturing UGA fans...
Spring practice starts in 3 days...Go Dawgs!
